Enlightening architecture

| OKALUX | Reference

The Wellcome Genome Campus in Cambridge is the birthplace of important discoveries in the field of genomics.

Scientists from all around the world gather frequently at the historic Hinxton Hall conference center to advance biomedical research. As part of a renovation, London architects Abell Nepp designed a stunning elliptical translucent glass roof around the 300-seat Francis Crick Auditorium, using our light-diffusing insulating glass OKALUX EVO. The result is a uniform and shadow-free illumination of the entire room. In addition, due to the glass fiber tiles between the two capillary panels, the capillary structure is visible on both sides and creates an attractive lively surface.
