In addition to providing smoke, heat and flame protection, aesthetic features are becoming key considerations in fire protection. Transparent fire-resistant glass enables natural light to penetrate, thus allowing for more creative freedom.

Fire prevention glass

FIRESWISS FOAM and FIRESWISS COOL are Glas Trösch's answer to highly effective fire protection solutions. In the event of a fire, the glass forms a solid foam sheet. It becomes opaque and no longer allows thermal radiation to pass through. A large proportion of the heat energy is consumed and thereby eliminated. This creates a heat shield that allows people to safely navigate the escape and rescue routes.

Fire resistance tests required for quality assurance and internal development are regularly carried out in the company’s own, globally accredited fire testing laboratory.

They form the basis for national and international approval procedures.
