A modern arcade

| Glas Trösch | SWISSRAILING | Reference

Fordham University in New York City has a long history of education, dating back to 1841.

On the Bronx campus, an expansion connects key buildings through a modern arcade, creating a new hub for student activity. Wood and light provide a bright and welcoming atmosphere, with plenty of space for sharing knowledge, networking and socialising.

To create this lightness in the extensive staircase area of the arcades, the railings were made of glass. Here, SWISSRAILING FLAT was used. This all-glass railing system impresses with its simple aesthetics and invisible substructure. Unlike other solutions, the glass is bonded directly to the support profile, creating a perfectly flush appearance with no visible brackets.
