Losing track of time at Hôtel des Horlogers by Bjarke Ingels Group

| Glas Trösch | Reference

For Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet, BIG Architects designed their first hotel building not far from the equally stunning spiral pavilion Musée Atelier in Le Brassus.

Designed in a zigzag of five ramps, the building of Hôtel des Horlogers – recently completed in collaboration with CCHE architects – is intended as a gift to the world-renowned watchmakers of the Vallée de Joux region, replacing the original 1857 Hôtel de France. The highlight: Guests will be able to ski down the adjacent slope via the roof.

Our triple insulating glass SILVERSTAR COMBI Neutral 51/26 provides the restaurant, lobby, spa and gym with daylight with the lowest possible heat input, natural color rendering, and brilliant appearance.
The building was awarded the Minergie Eco certificate for its holistic ecological approach and use of regional resources.

  • Building Type Hotel / Gastronomy Building
  • Application Façade
  • Product SILVERSTAR COMBI (Low-E with solar control)
  • Location Le Brassus, Switzerland
