KAPILUX T: Into the woods

| OKALUX | Reference

Located on a 260-square-meter woodland in Rhinebeck (NY) you will find the 'T' Space Reserve/'T' Space Rhinebeck / Steven Myron Holl Foundation – a natural landscape preserve with experimental architecture and installations on site.

Part of it is the Architectural Archive and Research Library. The annex of a bungalow built in 1940 serves as a collection and exhibition house and includes, among other things, more than 1,200 models and 3,300 books.

The entrance area is adorned with KAPILUX T insulating glass. A printed film embedded in the space between the panes displays colourful geometric shapes, which are intensified by the capillary inserts also integrated in the space between the panes. And yet the glass diffuses daylight deep into the interior, illuminating it evenly, softly and atmospherically.
