Inspired by the silicon structure

| Glas Trösch | Reference

At the headquarters of the globally active semiconductor and software development company arm in Cambridge, silicon plays a particularly important role as the basis of all computer technology.

Scott Brownrigg's architects took this as an opportunity to use geometric shapes throughout the building that are reminiscent of the structure of the chemical element as soon as an electron beam hits them.

The façade also picks up on this with triangular shading slats. A filigree lattice made of aluminum, complemented by generous glass surfaces made of our SILVERSTAR SUPERSELEKT 60/27 T ensures reduced energy loads thanks to a triple layer of silver. The neutral high-performance glass offers thermal and solar protection while maintaining a high level of transparency, providing a pleasant working day and illuminating moments.
