Energy-producing glass façade for municipal utilities

| BGT | Reference

As an energy supplier, renewable energy plays an everyday role for Stadtwerke Gronau.

It is therefore all the more fitting that H III S – Harder Stumpfl Schramm architects have opted for a partially solar energy-producing façade for the newly constructed municipal services building to produce an own demand for electricity covering amount of electricity.

Together with ASCA and our subsidiary BGT, the architects developed green and transparent ASCA® solar modules laminated in glass. The design is inspired by the brick walls of the adjacent buildings. The integration of solar modules into glass surfaces of this size testifies to a high technical level and represents a major advance in the field of building-integrated photovoltaics.
