Ecological building and quality of learning in harmony

| Glas Trösch | Reference

Complementing one of the most innovative residential projects in Switzerland - the Les Verges eco-neighborhood - equally ecologically planned and MINERGIE ECO-certified public facilities by the architects Sylla Widmann on the outskirts of Geneva provide a special link to the adjacent Jura mountains.

A technical school, an elementary school, a gymnasium, and other social infrastructure benefit both the students and the neighborhood. The permeable, pavilion-like ensemble with structures made of concrete, wood brings the various users together not only in the outdoor spaces created by the special building arrangement, but also creates neighborly connections by the generous use of our 4-season insulating glass SILVERSTAR SELEKT 74/42. The high selectivity of the coating ensures a balance between solar control, thermal insulation and light transmission. This provides the interior with optimal lighting and a pleasant indoor climate at all times of the year. Under these conditions, learning is easier, and valuable energy can be saved.
