Superlative foyer glass for 299 Park Avenue

| Glas Trösch | Reference

As part of a modernization program by Fisher Brothers, the lobby of the 299 Park Avenue office tower, completed in 1967, was recently redesigned.

The new design by Rockwell Group focuses on an elegantly upscale yet very bright and open plan. This impression is primarily created by the first floor's glass curtain wall, which is almost 27 meters long and around eight meters high.

Our SILVERSTAR SELEKT 74/42 provides for maximum light incidence with optimum heat protection in a color-neutral manner. Another distinctive feature of the skyscraper's redesigned lobby are the glass finials behind the narrow metal profiles out of laminated safety glass SWISSLAMEX with a total thickness of only 39 millimeters. The challenge in manufacturing and installation was mainly the size ratio. Sophisticated logistics were used to transport the special formats from Switzerland to New York, where the STO Building Group took over the assembly.
