Still a masterpiece

| Glas Trösch | Reference

Rock crystal, greenhouse, gabled-roof house - the St. Jakob Tower in Basel evokes many associations.

Its striking shape, which appears slightly different from all four directions, makes it a landmark of the city. Its location at the exit of the city, coming from France and Germany, marks the gateway to Switzerland. The 71 m high glass structure houses modern apartments and generous office space.

For the façade, architects Herzog & de Meuron wanted high-quality glass with low reflection. With our 2-pane insulating glass SILVERSTAR COMBI, they not only met their aesthetic requirements. The thermal and solar control glass also ensures pleasant room temperatures and lower energy costs.
