Shimmering reflections for the waterfront

| Glas Trösch | Reference

In the hustle and bustle of Dublin's Docklands shimmers one of Ireland’s newest facade project: Spencer Place.

Designed by architect Henry J Lyons, it conceals space for workspaces as well as hotel rooms, a gym and a restaurant area. The entire campus, consisting of four interconnected building complexes, provides for a range of utilisation concepts.

The oversized triangle shaped coated laminated glass panels form an external Veil giving the facade a striking presence along the Dublin promenade. The resulting geometry is a modern complement to the listed Victorian building in the immediate vicinity that is also part of the project. Using the very latest magnetron process our SILVERSTAR WhiteShine T on EUROWHITE provides diamond-like external reflection, but also solar control with high light transmission. This helps the building's sophisticated energy design, which aims for dual LEED V4 Platinum and Net Zero Carbon certification.
