New brilliance for an old school

| OKALUX | Reference

Quite modern, the oldest secondary school in Salzburg!

The building of the Akademisches Gymnasium, which was built in the 17th century, underwent a general renovation not too long ago: Zinterl Architects preserved only the basic structures of the former school building and designed a spacious new building flooded with daylight.

Our OKATECH Mandarin insulating glass with metal mesh inlay makes part of the façade shine. During the day, it gives the building envelope an extraordinary shine and makes it shimmer metallically in the sunlight. Inside, it bathes the foyer rooms in pleasantly warm tones and acts as a directionally selective daylight system as well as sun and glare protection.
