Insights into the wine warehouse

| Glas Trösch | Reference

The winery Blankenhorn has been home to a number of businesses of importance to the region: the horse exchange for long-distance carriage traffic, later the post office and a restaurant.

Since 1847, wine has been produced, traded and tasted on the four-sided farm in the Markgräferland. In cooperation with the architects Geis & Brantner, a modernization concept was developed, which combines old and new: The historic existing house is complemented by two new buildings that provide views of the stacking wine barrels. Insights into the production hall as well as the staircase connecting the new and old buildings are provided by our insulating glass SILVERSTAR COMBI 61/32.

Low U-values ensure very good thermal insulation properties, while high light transmission lets plenty of natural daylight into the interior. In summer, our COMBI coatings also provide effective solar control – ensuring pleasant room temperatures and low energy costs all year round.
