Glass meets mountain

| Glas Trösch | Reference

The summit restaurant on the Chäserrugg in the canton of St. Gallen offers the best conditions for celebrations: dine with the majestic Churfisten peaks.

The building, designed by Herzog & de Meuron, impresses with its elegant combination of traditional timber construction and modern design elements. Generous windows allow a far-reaching view of the Appenzell mountains.

The views is provided by our triple insulating glass SILVERSTAR EN2plus, which can withstand the extreme weather conditions in every respect. The extra-white EUROWHITE was used as the base glass: Due to its extremely high light transmission, it offers a very good color rendering index and thus maximum transparency. While low reflection allows undisturbed views from inside the building, the external reflection of 14 percent benefits bird protection: Birds recognize the glass as an obstacle early on, so the risk of collision is minimized.
