At the new cantonal railway station, travelers are greeted not only by the beautiful mountain panorama, but also by a new service building with the new headquarters of the Cantonal Bank of Uri. With a combination of cast stone, in-situ concrete and a glass proportion on the facade of over 75 percent, the Basel general planning team Buchner Bründler Architekten AG / Proplaning AG won the competition for the new building.
For the bank's customer area on the first floor, the architects chose insulating glass with digital printing as a privacy screen. This shows the subject of the surrounding mountain landscape in the form of a grid, the print intensity of which was optimally explored in various samples with the SILVERSTAR SUPERSELEKT 60/27 T solar control coating. To ensure a pleasant working atmosphere inside despite the hustle and bustle at the station, the architects chose our triple insulating glass SILVERSTAR EN2plus with sound insulation film for the upper floors.
The very good thermal insulation of the glass used as well as the environmentally friendly heating, cooling and electricity production helped the building to achieve MINERGIE® certification.
