Multi-faceted transit

| OKALUX | Reference

Modern travel isn't just about getting from A to B – it's about the journey and the destinations along the way, even at the airport. Adelaide Airport is a prime example, being a shopping centre, lounge, workplace and hotel all rolled into one.

Since HASSELL Studio's internationally acclaimed redesign in 2005, the airport has continued to evolve, adding new international airlines every year. The expanded terminal enhances the travel experience with brighter spaces and stunning views of the Adelaide Hills from a bustling retail concourse.

Daylight plays a key role in this design brief, making OKATECH the perfect glass solution: Curved over a large area, the insulating glass with metal mesh inserts provides high levels of solar control and glare control, while allowing generous views out. The result? A multi-faceted building envelope for a multi-faceted transit location.
