Intelligent roof glazing for school building

| OKALUX | Reference

The elementary school Ravensburger Ring in the west of Munich, designed by Schwinde Architekten, meets all the requirements of contemporary educational concepts and sustainable architecture.

Two four-story learning buildings, a cafeteria with kitchen, and a gymnasium with adjacent outdoor seating provide infrastructure for around 500 students.

One example of the project's energy efficiency is the cafeteria with its OKASOLAR 3D roof glazing. Here, the highly reflective louvre in the space between the panes prevents direct solar radiation and thus unwanted glare and heating of the interior spaces. Instead, it allows plenty of diffuse daylight into the room and distributes it evenly in depth. This saves cooling costs in the summer and energy costs in the winter.
