Glacier Skywalk, Alberta, Canada

| BGT | Reference

The Glacier Skywalk is a 450-metre round walkway carved into the mountain landscape of the Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

The highlight of the attraction is a glass-floored viewing platform that extends in a 30-metre arc across the canyon below, providing spectacular views of the Sunwapta Valley.

The parabolic projection is made with specially hardened and toughened laminated safety glass produced by BGT. Due to the environmental conditions and the unique application, the decision was made to use Sentry-Folie® film. This is a hundred times more rigid and five times stronger than standard PVC film, thereby allowing for a slimmer design while also increasing rigidity.
