Fire protection at the highest height

| Glas Trösch | Reference

A new architectural highlight has been created in Zurich Oerlikon: the Franklin Tower. Located at an important traffic junction, the 80-metre-high building by Armon Semadeni Architects offers bright and open office and commercial space.

The stepped design offers spacious terraces on the fifth and eleventh floors, while the characteristic mullion and transom glass façade ensures a timeless appearance that is an impressive addition to the Zurich skyline.

FIRESWISS FOAM from Glas Trösch Buochs provides safety in the critical interior spaces: in the event of a fire, the glass forms a stable foam layer that becomes opaque and no longer allows heat radiation to pass through. A large proportion of the heat energy is absorbed and neutralized. This creates a heat shield that allows safe passage through escape and rescue routes.
