Architectural homage to Vietnam

| OKALUX | Reference

After ten years of construction, the Vietnamese-American Service Center (VASC) in San Jose officially opened its doors in 2021. The health and wellness service center is designed to meet the city's large Vietnamese-American community's needs and pay architectural homage to Vietnamese culture and heritage.

From the dragonfly design on the first floor to the traditional conical hat \(nón lá\) theme in the ceiling of the common room, to the bamboo patterns in the casework and glass exterior, VASC is a true reflection of Vietnam.

Our insulating glass OKALUX+ played a crucial role in crafting the expansive and luminous glass surfaces. This light-diffusing glass has many benefits: The capillary plate positioned within the gap between the panes guarantees consistent and shadow-free daylight illumination throughout the space. Beyond excellent solar control and glare protection, the capillary tubes enhance thermal insulation, and the transmission values can be customized to meet specific requirements.
