Architects’ Darling: Bronze for OKALUX

OKAfree – and thus OKALUX – took home the bronze medal at the Architects’ Darling Award 2021.

OKALUX was presented to the jury at the eleventh edition of this award for the first time. 1,800 architects confirmed just how good OKAfree is. Together, they awarded the innovative product – and with it also OKALUX – a podium place at this year’s Heinze Awards, where it was presented with the bronze medal at the Architects’ Darling Award 2021 in the daylight systems/roof lighting category.

The award ceremony took place on 9 November at the traditional industry get-together “Celler Werktag” in Celle, Germany. 300 manufacturers participated in this year’s event, with Andrea Sammartano and Michael Lang – both sales managers at Heinze GmbH – announcing the winners of the competition at the gala evening.

The decision was made based on the currently largest branch survey of architects and planners, which is carried out every year by Heinze GmbH as part of the award. At the same time, an expert jury featuring renowned representatives from international architecture offices and specialists from the fields of media and communications cast a critical eye on participants’ products and portfolios.

The 24 award categories meant that the submitted solutions could be analysed specifically down to the smallest detail. Personal consultation, sustainability and positive brand experiences were also included in the final assessment.
